Why Trip Happens?

TripHappens got this name because all the English-language-speakers say “shit happens”, as a “softener” to bad things. When Mic invited me to join him on this trip I knew that during a trip like that you must be open to bad things happening with this “shit happens” mood, meaning it can't ruin your day, it can't ruin your trip.

Other reason?

We believe in Trip Happens, it is happening to us and can happen to you too. Maybe your trip is different, maybe once a year you go to the beach near your home, or to a great park in your home town… Being a traveller is how you look to the place you are in and to the people around you; it’s not how far you go, or a sum of how many cities you have visited. So remember be a traveller, not a tourist, or, as Brazilians say: "don't be a gringo, be a local".

Our plan?

We have no plan. The idea since the beginning was to start in Mexico, heading Peru, and stop where we feel like going on our way. I am a planner, I like to plan. But he doesn’t… so what can I do about it? Enjoy! Nowadays I totally got used to it. Now he is there planning, and I’m here writing ;-)
